Thermal Paper → Shop

Thermal sensitive paper is dyed by heat. No toner, no ink or other consumables are required. The paper can be made to discolor in different colors; generally black is used in label printing.

Thermal paper is available in grammages of approx. 50 to approx. 240 g / m².

With inferior thermal papers, the print fades after a few weeks. However, good quality papers can remain legible for a long time even under the influence of heat.

There is a negative effect on legibility through solar radiation and heat, plasticizers, tannins, disinfectants, solvents, oils and fats. The resistance to these effects can be counteracted by a foil covering layer of the paper.

Paper uncoated → Shop

Uncoated paper is conventional paper as is generally used in laser and inkjet printers and is produced without synthetic ingredients.

The surface is slightly rough and open-pored, usually fine fibres are also visible.

Uncoated papers are used for inexpensive printing when the requirements are not particularly high.

Paper coated → Shop

Coated Paper is provided with an additional coating sealing the surface and giving it the desired, higher quality appearance. Matt, semi-gloss or glossy coatings are possible. The surface appears smoother and the paper is more stable overall.

The colour saturation and edge sharpness during printing is significantly higher than with uncoated paper.

Due to the higher stability, labels made of coated paper can often be removed from the substrate without tearing.

Thermo-ECO → Shop

Thermal ECO labels are cost-effective and have no protective function for printing and paper. Environmental influences cause the printing to fade relatively quickly; the paper can go off colour with time. ECO labels can therfore only be used temporarily. In general, shelf life rarely goes beyond 3 months, but is pending from the particular application. If a longer lasting thermo label is required, Thermal TOP material is preferable.

Thermo-TOP → Shop

Thermal TOP material has up to two protective layers and is therefore resistant to external influences for a longer period of time, such. As solvents, fats, heat and UV radiation. Depending on the design, it is possible to achieve almost the resistance of thermal transfer printed paper labels.

Polyethylene → Shop

Polyethylene (PE) film labels are suitable for applications that require resistance to water, oil and chemicals. Common applications include labelling of test tubes, vials, chemical drums and products with a highly curved surfaces.

Polypropylene → Shop

Polypropylene (PP) films are resistant to water, oil and chemicals. Polypropylene labels offer long term labels for labelling of packaging materials, patient and laboratory samples.

Polyester → Shop

Polyester film labels (PET) are resistant to heat, water, oil and chemicals and suitable for high quality and long lasting applications. Typical applications include serial number labels, labels for electrical equipment, as well as instruction tags, barrel and logistics labels.

PVC-/Vinyl Etiketten → Shop

PVC labels are sometimes referred to as vinyl labels. They are very flexible and have a very great conformability. Because of this property, they are often used for the permanent marking of objects with a curved surface, small radii and the like.
